It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. Confucius
New Age Learning
The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. Confucius
In life or in career, the start is slow and the progress is gradual. There are falls and rises, with each fall having
a lesson to learn and each rise testing the limit of one's ego. The blossoming of new age learning (eLearning) of 2013 bore
fruit in 2014, and fast realized to its fulfilment. The corporate leaders and the top management driving businesses were the
happiest lot, as learning and skills development are now innately accessible. The sea of change that has come in the way skills
were relayed to learners definitely had a resounding impact.
The corporate leaders are now bold and confident to face greater challenges, and ready to present themselves in the right
light. Remarkably, the gap between experience and expression has been closed, and there is now no scope for leadership crisis
as India Inc moves ahead with greater personality scale-up as never before. To this effect, my little contribution to impart
language and soft skills via the new learning mode needs to be considered.
We Two Together Scripted Success
I am a slow walker, but I never walk back. Abraham Lincoln
For a man or a woman, the partner's support matters a lot. True with any professionally and socially successful couple.
Inspiring and mentoring each other appears a never ending saga, as one stands tall and firm to help another. On a personal
note, these words have come true as I scored as TOP ranker with 77% in the IGNOU's Course, and my spouse clearing the Lecturership
Test in her first attempt itself.
As I was busy imparting new skills to my learners and evolving power content for the predominantly content based websites,
she was busy in putting to test her creative and domain skills. Though we are two individuals in pursuit of our independent
academic and career goals, the level of coordination between us reached the next level of excellence. Importantly, the hopes
are high for both of us of bright and fulfilling times ahead.
Take the best, leave the rest
People that you see around have their own personal agenda.
Time teaches us all. As time goes on, different people cross your path, have different opinions to share, critical comments
to air, and apologies to make. All this is totally subjective, and a lot depends on what we take and what we reject. The strong
belief is in taking opinions as personal choices, comments as echoes of disgruntled minds, and apologies as futile and senseless
exercises.
There has been an understanding that, it is your strong and un-alterable focus that wins at the end like the sun's bright
light brings warmth and freshness to life around; the dark clouds unleashed by disgruntled minds do not last for long. No
matter what people around try to influence your thought and action, your belief in what you are and what you can be is all
that matters. So, even if someone tells you that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, you should still go ahead to realize
your plans and goals in life.
Water Industry to Steel Industry
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a
lack in will. Vince Lombardi
After one and half years of dabbling with full-time entrepreneurship at eLearning and freelance content writing, a break
arrived. Earlier, the eight months of bottom-up learning at a water industry was immense and resounding. It helped me to perfect
my professional skills, and made me a better negotiator at client interactions.
The middle of the year gone heralded a transformation in my career, with the Steel industry bestowing on me an unparalleled
opportunity to script quality content. My soft spoken boss had a message for me that courage doesn't always roar; sometimes
courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.
Definitely true, and proven, a cherished and lovable boss never cajoles, but inspires one with the right guidance for
quality productivity and higher achievement. This has been proved at my six month work with the steel industry, where I foresee
my career growth to its full potential.
Reputation Management
Keep away from people who belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that
you, too, can become great. Mark Twain
Content writers confront the new challenge of Reputation Management of individuals and businesses, online and offline.
An individual or business gets targeted when once in limelight for professional excellence and business acumen that none others
could achieve to display. It is a rather meticulous process that requires sincere and coordinated efforts of the writers and
the targeted, with truthfulness in word as the guiding principle and presentation of facts as facts as the key to successful
reputation management.
A content writer's successful handling of reputation management means to achieve the objective of reversal the roles,
turn the hunted into the hunter, with revealing truth as the potential weapon against all adverse comments and malicious statements.
The brave fight that the content writer puts is stressful, prolonged and overwhelming. One bout of contradiction is severed,
another ten pop up.
Several battles may be lost before the contenders raise the white flag to recognize writer-targeted reputation-winning
efforts. All along, there can be no scope for compromise or indifference, the least challenge from the contender has to be
met with full force of words, with a potential message sent to all the tail-enders that all acts of condemnable nature would
meet the same fate.
Looking forward
Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat. Scott Fitzgerald
It is true that, ups and downs are an integral part of our life and career. What really matters is our level of preparedness
to foresee and meet the exigencies. We come close to people who share common ideas and beliefs. Some strengthen our hands
to progress together, while some disrupt the momentum of change with senseless manipulations.
I sincerely thank my clients and learners for availing my support - writing and training. I would like extend my full
gratitude to Kali Prasad (Earthpavers), Latha Raj (Professional), Vijaya (Professional), Vinod (Web Specialist, Dubai), Raghava
(Bluegill, Hyd), Murali (Vinsys UK), Dinesh (QTH, Hyd), Vaishali (Professional), Varun (Web Development Professional), Manoj
(Chandan Valley, Vizag), and Ashok (Web Development Professional) for all the guidance and support they have provided.
